Bruderholz

Bruderholz is where our new flat is - on a hill overlooking Basel. It might not be too much of a stretch to say Bruderholz is the Hollywood of Basel. Bruderholz, to my basic understanding, means Brother Wood, wood as in lumber but perhaps also as in wooded area. There is a Wasserturm (water tower) on the crest of the hill here which is iconic for the area. The area is very posh indeed which is saying a lot for Basel. Our new flat is on Spiegelbergstrasse which roughly translates as Mirror Mountain Street. I don't know what the mirror is a reference to.

4059 is our new postal code which happens to be the last 4 digits of my mom's phone number, the one we had since we were kids. I'm sure in Kabbalah this means that Victoria is cosmically linked to Basel. They are around the same size, for what it's worth.
